I’ve seen a material rise in iPad Pro usage among execs at conferences. The devices can be used for typing and written notes. They’re compact and have good battery life.
I used to carry the larger 13″ iPad Pro but switched this year to the smaller, lighter iPad Pro M4 11″ along with a Tumi Alpha Bravo Junior Crossbody bag, which fits the device perfectly.

What I love about this particular crossbody is the magnetic clip on the front that lets me get something in or our of the front pocket quickly, while also ensuring everything else inside remains secure.
Below is a quick video of me opening my bag, pulling out sunscreen, and closing and securing the bag with a magnetic clip in less than 5 seconds.
I paired my iPad with both an Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard to write and type as needed.

The M4 Magic Keyboards have an extra top row of keys for quick access to brightness, volume, media playback, mute, and other functions that makes my older iPad feel like it’s slightly broken when I have to start tapping all over the screen to get brightness to change, or when I need to adjust the volume.
Also, the iPad Pro M4 is insanely thin at 5.1 mm.

I also use a Tumi Carabiner and/or a Muji Foldable S-Hook to clip the bag onto my luggage or the back of my airplane seat to work hands-free.
Side note: If you ask nicely, on slow days sometimes Tumi stores will throw in a free accessory as a gift with purchase, and the Carabiner is kind of win-win for everyone.

The biggest benefit from this combination is being able to replace the traditional laptop and backpack that some execs are still choosing to schlep around a conference.
I still travel with a full Nomatic 20L Travel Pack backpack with a rollerbag, so I can go up to two weeks without check-in luggage, but this cross body has been super helpful in day-to-day work.
